For the second consecutive year, the Energy Systems Integration Group (ESIG) recognized E3’s Arne Olson and the broader E3 team by awarding E3 an Excellence Award. The 2024 award, earned for “innovative pathways to align customer pricing with grid needs,” celebrates E3’s white paper from last year titled “Rate Design for the Energy Transition.” In the white paper, E3’s authors presented a proposal for multi-part dynamic retail rates that both reflect the costs of an increasingly renewable grid and also support the distributed energy resources and electrification efforts fundamental to clean energy targets. Arne accepted the ESIG annual award on behalf of the team of E3 authors that wrote and supported the white paper.
