Laura Shi works in E3’s Asset Valuation and Markets practice area with a focus on wholesale electricity markets and price forecasting. Laura joined E3 from the Power Markets Modeling team at Guidehouse, where she conducted analysis on asset valuation engagements for resource developers using production cost and dispatch optimization models in PSO and PLEXOS.

Laura is particularly interested in the role emerging technologies play in the clean energy transition. With her background in engineering, Laura excels in employing technical models to address intricate and evolving questions about the electricity grid. As new policies and technologies emerge, she aspires to leverage her modeling capabilities and market expertise to assist clients in making well-informed decisions.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys dancing, knitting, and spending time with friends and family.
