Morgan Santoni-Colvin supports E3’s Climate Pathways and Electrification practice area, currently focused on distributed energy resources, utility regulation, rate design, and model development. He joined E3 after completing a master’s degree in technology and policy from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While at MIT, he worked with the MIT Energy Initiative, where he researched the power and gas system impacts of building heat electrification in cold climates. He also interned at Recurve, where he evaluated the potential for integrating demand flexibility modeling methods into California’s integrated resource planning and resource adequacy proceedings. In addition to his M.S. from MIT, Mr. Santoni-Colvin holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
Morgan joined E3 with a particular interest in modeling and analysis to help decision-makers navigate the complexity of decarbonizing of our energy systems. He is driven by the challenge of this societal transformation and its intersection with social values, equity, and political institutions.
In his free time, Morgan enjoys film photography, backpacking, music, and — when the weather cooperates — a hammock and a good book.
