Les Armstrong joined E3’s Integrated Systems Planning practice after graduating with a MS in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he led a team that conducted research on capacity expansion models. His focus was to model and analyze the impact of hydrogen as a long duration energy storage vector in PJM. Les also conducted research on renewable energy siting conflict resolution and interconnection queue reform.

Les is passionate about using his technical and policy knowledge and skills to help advance the energy transition through the thoughtful implementation of clean energy solutions.

Les is currently based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In his free time, Les enjoys spending time with his friends, hiking, playing soccer, and listening to live music.
