Generation Asset Valuation and Market Strategy. E3 has provided market strategy, market price forecasting and asset valuation services for a wide variety of Independent Power Producers and utility clients including Calpine, Sempra, Energy Capital Partners, Aeolis Wind and VantagePoint.

Confidential Asset Owner, Regulatory and Policy Risk Assessment. E3 was engaged by a large western asset owner to review the potential impact of California energy policy initiatives such as carbon dioxide “cap-and-trade” on its fleet of generating assets. 

Confidential Asset Owner, Power Plant Acquisition. E3 was engaged to support a confidential asset owner in its analysis of a potential gas-fired power plant acquisition in the Pacific Northwest. 

Confidential Electric Utility, Financial Analysis. E3 performed a financial analysis of the purchase of an ownership interest in an existing coal-fired power plant, including an assessment of market risk, contract risk, and potential CO2 regulation risk, for a confidential electric utility.

Hydrogen Energy International Business Plan. E3 assisted the developer of an integrated gasification combined-cycle project to put together a project development plan that takes account of California’s intricate regulatory process and procurement practices.
