Stephen Bessasparis supports E3’s Asset Valuation and Markets practice area, focusing on large loads, renewable energy and storage, and transmission. Stephen joined E3 after earning dual graduate degrees in Public Affairs and Environmental Science, energy policy concentration, from Indiana University. He previously worked as an energy analyst for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and served for seven years in the U.S. Army as an Infantry and Military Intelligence Officer. He graduated from Bucknell University in 2014 with a B.A. in International Relations.

Stephen joined the energy field intending to continue his career goal of serving the greater good.  He believes energy is the foundation of our modern society, and successfully navigating the energy transition is one of the key challenges of the 21st century.  He is enthusiastic about synthesizing quantitative and qualitative methods to create accurate forecasts that support decision-making.

Outside of work, Stephen enjoys running, hiking, reading science fiction, entertaining his cats, and attempting to convince his friends to try his new board games.  He also remains active in the Army Reserve as a Reserve Intelligence Officer.
