Meeting California's Long-Term Greenhouse Gas Reduction Goals

This independent study by E3 was commissioned by Hydrogen Energy International LLC to provide insights into the question of: “What will be necessary for California to meet its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2050?” The report includes several projections of California’s energy use and greenhouse gas emissions through the year 2050, including four electricity generation mix scenarios: a high-renewables, high-nuclear, high-carbon capture and sequestration and a blended case.
